Mission Statement

Tell Great Stories

Every story we tell—whether for our clients, their customers, or our community—begins with connection. It’s not just about creating content; it’s about crafting narratives that resonate, inspire, and endure. Beyond transactions, we focus on storytelling that stands the test of time.

Derek Huber

Director of Story

Derek Huber is the founder of Huber Media Co.

After obtaining an Associate of Arts degree and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Arkansas State University, Derek worked in Chicago, IL, for “Warrior Dash.” After a few years in Chicago, he returned to Arkansas and the health and fitness industry, where he spent several years working as an area manager for the fastest-growing fitness franchise on the planet. It was here that Derek honed his marketing chops and used his experience working with large budgets in various markets to start Huber Media Co in January of 2019, after years of freelancing on the side.

Derek’s strengths are in learning, video production, communication, advertising, and project management. He breaks down your communication goals into actionable steps and helps clients learn along the process. From marketing to operations management, Derek often serves as an outsourced Director of Marketing for many of our retainer clients.

Core Values

1. TAKE MASSIVE OWNERSHIP

Your actions impact your success and the success of those around you. This means you own your mistakes and accept responsibility for the change you want to see. No one is going to do it for you.

2. FAIL FORWARD

Failure is a learning opportunity. We don’t waste clients’ resources or ours, but we know there are times when you have to make decisions and you can’t always know the outcomes. As long as we learn from our efforts, success will follow.

3. COMMUNICATE AUTHENTICALLY

Don’t mislead people, don’t say things that you can't do or back up. We engage with products and companies that we enjoy and believe in.

4. EVERYTHING IS AN ADVENTURE

Opportunity is currency and choosing courage over comfort leads you to live a life of intention, to know your why, to seek creative solutions, to turn challenges into exploration, and to fall in love with the process.

5. PEOPLE OVER POSSESSIONS

This means to put people over profits and to build relationships instead of contacts.
